Toy Fair New York Exhibitor Renewals Begin May 1

April 21, 2020 | Following a delay to offer more breathing room for businesses operating amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the renewal season for toy companies interested in exhibiting at Toy Fair New York 2021 will officially begin May 1.

To continue to alleviate some of the financial pressure members face right now, The Toy Association’s Trade Show Committee and Board Executive Committee have approved a reduction in the deposits due with exhibitor applications. Instead of a 50 percent deposit, only 25 percent will be required upon booking.

“While we have spent the past nearly two months focused on providing members with the tools they need to stay afloat and the additional time needed to concentrate on their own priorities, we now look forward to what happens next,” said Marian Bossard, executive vice president of global market events at The Toy Association. “In doing so, we encourage members to begin planning for business in 2021 − however different it may look − and continue to turn to Toy Fair New York as a global gateway to sell more product and connect with leading buyers.”

Toy Fair New York 2020 drew in tens of thousands of global toy and play professionals from nearly 100 countries, showcasing not only the talent but the passion of the North American and global play industries  − a passion that has carried forward in the form of their COVID-19 outreach, aid, and philanthropic efforts since then.

The renewal period runs May 1 to May 31. Returning companies interested in exhibiting at Toy Fair New York should contact their account executive Simon Yung (companies A-M) or Leigh Carleu (companies N-Z) for more information.

This announcement follows The Toy Association’s recently unveiled plans for Toy Fair Everywhere, a series of three virtual market weeks leading into Q4 2020. Events will be held in July, August, and September. Toy Fair New York 2021 returns to the Jacob Javits Convention Center on Saturday, February 13 to Tuesday, February 16.
