Calling Young Toy Professionals: Join Our Networking Discussion on Clubhouse

May 10, 2021 | The Toy Association’s Young Professionals Network (YPN) will host a live, interactive discussion on Clubhouse Wednesday, May 26 at 4 p.m. (Eastern) called “Networking in a Virtual World.”

Moderated by Steve Starobinsky of Kid@Heart, the discussion will provide toy professionals who are new to the industry with an opportunity to discuss the challenges and successes they have faced while networking and fostering their professional growth during the pandemic.

“With the absence of many live toy events, in-person networking opportunities have been few and far between, and this has been especially challenging for those just starting out in their careers,” said Bernadette Boyle, director of member services at The Toy Association. “We’re excited to offer young toy professionals the opportunity to meet with others who are in the same boat, and to share ideas on how to deepen contacts and foster relationships in the toy business during these challenging times.”

The discussion will kick off with three questions to the group:

  1. What platform helped you most during the pandemic in learning about trends & skills, and what technology did you embrace the most?
  2. What findings and insights do you think will be incorporated into your life after the world emerges from the pandemic? What will you do differently and what will you do the same in business?
  3. The power of collaboration is strong in society right now – what brands or companies would you collaborate with, and why?

Toy professionals who are registered for Clubhouse can add the event to their calendars here. Those who require an invitation to join Clubhouse may reach out to Bernadette Boyle, director of member services, for an invite (a limited number are available).

Questions about this event and other member opportunities offered by The Toy Association may be directed to Bernadette Boyle.
