Whitelisting Instructions

Users

Below are instructions for common email clients. Information may change as clients are updated. Please refer to the help section of your email client for any changes.  In general, these instructions should help you whitelist an email address to ensure you receive important emails in your inbox.


Gmail

  1. Open Gmail: Log in to your Gmail account.
  2. Go to Settings: Click on the gear icon in the top-right corner and select "Settings" from the dropdown menu.
  3. Open Filters and Blocked Addresses: Navigate to the "Filters and Blocked Addresses" tab.
  4. Create a New Filter: Scroll down and click on "Create a new filter."
  5. Enter the Email Address: In the "From" field, type the email address you want to whitelist.
  6. Click "Create Filter": Click on the "Create filter" button in the bottom right corner.
  7. Choose Actions: Check the box next to "Never send it to Spam" and any other actions you want to apply.
  8. Click "Create Filter": Finally, click on the "Create filter" button to save your changes.

If the message was found in the spam folder, right-click it and select Not Spam. Additionally, you can move messages to their proper classification folder if needed.


Outlook (Hotmail)

  1. Log in to Outlook: Sign into your Outlook account.
  2. Access Settings: Click on the gear icon in the top-right corner and select "View all Outlook settings" at the bottom.
  3. Navigate to Junk Email: Go to "Junk email" from the left-hand menu.
  4. Safe Senders: Select "Safe senders and domains."
  5. Add an Email Address: Enter the email address you want to whitelist in the provided field and click on "Add."
  6. Save Changes: Click "Save" to apply the changes.


Yahoo Mail

  1. Access Settings: Sign into your Yahoo Mail account.
  2. Go to Settings: Click on the gear icon in the top-right corner and select "More Settings."
  3. Select Security and Privacy: Choose "Security and Privacy" from the left-hand menu.
  4. Scroll Down to Filters: Under "Filters," click on "Add."
  5. Define Filter Rules: Enter a name for the filter and in the "From" field, enter the email address you want to whitelist.
  6. Choose Inbox Folder: Select "Inbox" as the folder to deliver these emails.
  7. Save Changes: Click "Save" or "Save Settings" to save the new filter.

If you're using the Yahoo Mail mobile app, you can follow these steps:

  1. Open the Yahoo Mail mobile app.
  2. Click on the Inbox folder icon in the bottom left.
  3. Choose Spam from the options.
  4. Find and select an email, then mark it as Not Spam.

If the message was found in the spam folder, right-click it and select Not Spam. if you see the address in the block list, select the address you wish to remove and click Remove.


Other Email Clients

Add the sender’s “from” address to your contact list/address book. If the message was found in the spam folder, move it to the inbox or right-click it and select Not Spam.

Note that if the message was found in the junk or clutter folder, you can move it to the inbox.

Safe Senders

Email addresses and domain names in the safe senders list are never treated as junk email, regardless of the content of the message. You can add your contacts and other correspondents to the safe senders list to confirm you'll always receive their messages in your inbox.

To add people to your Safe Senders List, do the following:

  1. On the Home tab, click Junk, and then click Junk E-mail Options.
  2. On the Safe Senders tab, check the Automatically add people/e-mail to the Safe Senders List box.

 

Admins

  • The domain used as the "from" address. Add the following domains to the allow lists:
    • Toyassociation.org
    • Toyfoundation.org
    • Toyfairny.com
    • Thegeniusofplay.org
    • Msgfocus.com
