August Deadlines Approaching for Free Toy Fair® Media Opportunities

August 4, 2023 | Exhibitors at Toy Fair® can take advantage of free publicity opportunities to maximize their reach and generate media buzz for their products and brands leading up to and during the show, which will take place September 30 to October 3 in New York City. Deadlines are fast approaching for the following opportunities:

  • Free Spotlight in the Toy Fair Online Press Room (Deadline: August 15, 2023)
Toy Fair’s Online Press Room is a valuable tool that allows exhibitors to post their company profiles, press releases, and other pertinent information for the media. All exhibitors are eligible for a complimentary spotlight that will be featured on a dedicated page, and will include a company’s key information (name, booth number, website link, 100-word description to house a boilerplate, product information, a show teaser, etc.). Exhibitors featured on this page will also be included in a press release that will be posted to the Online Press Room and emailed to media registered for the show. Exhibitors can secure their listing by logging in to their exhibitor profile through Map Your Show and filling out the field labeled “Press Description.” Additional services, from posting press releases to wire service distributions, are available for a fee. To secure your listing (or for questions about enhanced services), contact Erienne Muldoon at Virtual Press Office, The Toy Association’s online press room partner.

  • Annual Product Preview (Deadline to make an appointment: August 31)
The annual Toy Fair Product Preview will take place on Friday, September 29 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the Press Center at the Javits Center. This is a great opportunity for companies to share information about their key drivers so that the Toy Fair PR team can educate media about products and companies at the show. Meetings will be held in 15-minute increments; companies will be asked to show a maximum of three products and to fill out online product information forms beforehand. For more information or to schedule an appointment, contact The Toy Association’s Maddie Michalik.Preference is given to Toy Association members on a first come, first served basis.

  • Additional Free PR Resources
Companies participating in the Product Preview will be able to provide one product image for a “new product showcase” video loop that will play in the Press Center throughout the show. Additional information will be provided upon appointment confirmation. In the meantime, companies who missed the live webinar are invited to check out the free recording of our PR Bootcamp webinar, which provides helpful tips related to Toy Fair PR, including building a media list, creating a press kit, and other PR resources at the show.

For any questions regarding media relations at the show, contact Kristin Morency Goldman, The Toy Association’s senior director of strategic communications.
