October 17, 2017 | Toy professionals can learn all about Oregon’s Toxic-Free Kids Act in an upcoming webinar hosted by The Toy Association. The one-hour webinar – “Understanding Oregon’s Chemical Reporting Law & Compliance,” will take place November 2 at 2 p.m. (Eastern). Registration is now open.
Oregon's Toxic-Free Kids Act requires all children’s product manufacturers that sell products within the state to submit reports to the Oregon Health Authority by January 1, 2018 if their products contain any of the High Priority Chemicals for Children’s Products (HPCCCH) at or above de minimis levels.
To help toy companies navigate the state’s new chemical reporting law, Jennifer Gibbons, The Toy Association’s vice president of state government affairs, will provide an overview of the law, including its reporting rules, guidance, and online notification system, and information on the law’s next phase of implementation. The webinar is specifically recommended for quality control professionals, compliance officers, and chemical program managers.
Toy Association webinars are free for members; $49 for non-members. As always, a recording of the session will be made available for members who register but are unable to participate live.
