Play All May: Toy Association Members & Families Join In on the Fun!

Play All MayMay 13, 2019 | Play All May, The Genius of Play’s first-ever month celebrating the importance of play, has gone viral on social media this month. By sharing content and #PlayAllMay assets, Toy Association members have helped the campaign generate wide exposure through millions of impressions and thousands of engagements.

Highlights of the Play All May campaign to date include:

  • The hashtag #PlayAllMay has had 5.5 million impressions across Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, with 5,800 engagements on Facebook alone;
  • More than 18,000 consumers have entered to win one of The Genius of Play’s daily toy giveaways;
  • The Genius of Play’s Instagram page has added 2,500 new followers since May 1; and
  • Dozens of member companies including Lego, Crayola, Learning Express, and many others have promoted Play All May on their social media channels.

As part of Play All May, The Genius of Play has also launched new digital and broadcast PSAs titled “Prescription for Play,” which deliver an impactful message about why play is critical.

Toymakers, licensors, retailers, and others are invited to share the PSA campaign, play-inspiration ideas, and additional “Play All May” assets on their social media channels or create their own social media content to support Play All May.
