April 24 COVID-19 Webinar: Pathways to Reopen Business & New Relief Bill

covid-19-webinarsApril 21, 2020 | The U.S. Senate just passed a nearly $500 billion bill that will help to replenish the now-depleted Paycheck Protection Program. The bill is expected to be passed by the House in the coming days. The Toy Association will provide an overview of the new economic relief package during “COVID-19: Pathways to Reopening Business,” the next in a series of COVID-19 member resource webinars, taking place Friday, April 24 at 1 p.m. (Eastern).

Session presenter Ron Eidshaug, vice president of congressional and public affairs at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, will begin by offering members early guidance on what companies may be required to do to reopen and prepare to allow employees back to work. Ed Desmond, The Toy Association’s executive vice president of external affairs, will then provide additional updates on the federal relief package. This includes the approximately $321 billion being put toward the Paycheck Protection Program, with roughly $60 billion being set aside for smaller institutions, $50 billion going toward EIDL loans, $10 billion for EIDL Advance grants, and $2.1 billion to be set aside for SBA administrative expenses.

Past sessions of the COVID-19 webinar series are now available on-demand exclusively to Toy Association members.
