Beyond the Ports: Customs and Border Protection Enforcement

Objective

This webinar gave toy industry stakeholders a behind-the-scenes view of current and upcoming U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) ‪enforcement and trade facilitation activities, and to provide insights on how to mitigate issues and streamline the importation of toy and youth entertainment products during the peak shipping months leading up to the holiday 2013 shopping season.

Recommended Audience

All toy industry stakeholders importing products into the United States.  Specifically recommended for staff responsible for logistics, trade and safety or quality compliance, as well as others who need to know more about how CBP and U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) staff are targeting products for inspection at U.S. ports and resources that are available through the newly formed Consumer Products and Mass Merchandising Center for Expertise and Excellence (CEE).
