BBB National Programs’ Children’s Advertising Review Unit (CARU) has released the Generative AI & Kids Risk Matrix, a guide that offers guidance to help companies developing or using AI identify and mitigate risks that impact children. Created in collaboration with leading brands, the framework addresses concerns such as misleading advertising, data privacy, bias, and exposure to harmful content.

As part of this effort, CARU’s AI Working Group will expand under BBB National Programs’ Center for Industry Self-Regulation to further examine the responsible use of AI across products and platforms for kids and teens.
