The Toy Association™ Inc., the business trade association representing a wide array of manufacturers, retailers, licensors, and others involved in the youth entertainment industry, has announced the promotions of Charlotte Hickcox to senior director of state government affairs and Erin Wright to senior manager of communications & engagement for The Toy Foundation™, effective immediately.

Charlotte Hickcox joined The Toy Association in 2022 as director of state government affairs. In her expanded role as senior director, Hickcox will assume additional leadership responsibilities across the Association’s state government affairs division, maintaining responsibility for Eastern states while driving a cohesive 50-state approach to advocacy efforts and overseeing the management of all state lobbyists.

Before joining The Toy Association, Hickcox built an extensive career in government affairs and public policy, holding roles with the Ohio Chamber of Commerce, the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency, Sprint, the Ohio House of Representatives, and several public affairs consulting firms.

Erin Wright has been promoted to senior manager of communications & engagement for The Toy Foundation, the philanthropic arm of The Toy Association. Since joining the Foundation as manager, Wright has helped elevate awareness of the organization’s mission and programs through strategic storytelling, communications campaigns, and stakeholder engagement initiatives that highlight the Foundation's work to deliver the comfort and positive impact of play to children when they need it most.

Prior to joining The Toy Foundation, Wright spent more than a decade leading communications strategies for consumer brands at 360PR+, APCO Worldwide, Ketchum, and Hunter Public Relations.
