Whether communities are facing severe storms in Florida, flooding in Texas, or wildfires in California, The Toy Foundation™ (TTF) is there to deliver comfort through play — responding not only immediately after disaster strikes, but also supporting children and families in the months that follow.

TTF works year-round with its mission partner, World Vision, to distribute toys to the families and children most impacted by natural disasters, working through a strong network of on-the-ground nonprofit organizations and schools. Thanks to the generous support of the toy industry, more than $2 million in toys have been distributed to nearly 175,000 children since 2023.

One year after Hurricanes Helene and Milton struck the southeast, TTF and World Vision remain active in recovery efforts. World Vision mobilized within 24 hours of landfall to deliver emergency supplies and toys to displaced families. Since then, local community partners have continued to receive and distribute thousands of donated items from TTF to support families as they rebuild.

“We are incredibly grateful for The Toy Foundation’s ongoing partnership to bring the industry’s toys to the affected communities,” said Reed Slattery, national director of U.S. programs at World Vision. “It is easy for families to lose hope or feel forgotten, especially if they are still displaced after months of recovery efforts, and when a child receives a new toy, they are immediately comforted. It truly makes such a difference.”

“There is still a need to support the families impacted by Hurricanes Helene and Milton, as well as other disasters like the Los Angeles fires,” said Pam Mastrota, executive director of The Toy Foundation. “Access to toys can help turn a new house into a home, providing immense comfort and joy for the entire family. We are thankful for the toy industry’s continued generosity”

To support TTF’s ongoing disaster relief efforts, companies can submit a product donation form to coordinate a free pickup. Donations of all sizes and types are accepted.

In addition to delivering toys to communities affected by natural disasters, TTF’s Play Fund program distributes grants to community organizations in disaster zones. Grants are used to aid rebuilding efforts of play spaces and activities, mental health programs, and other services to positively support children and families. Donations to the Play Fund can be made online.
