PlayCon’s After Hours Events Promise Networking and Jackpots For Charity

April 7, 2016
| PlayCon’s attendees will have fun networking and raising money for a good cause on May 2nd and 3rd during the event’s exciting nighttime activities at the Miami Beach EDITION Hotel in Miami, Florida.

Casino Night – May 2nd

Casino Night will be held on PlayCon’s opening evening atop the EDITION’s roof, and will be complemented by an open bar and dinner buffet. As players roll dice and draw cards under the night sky, they will be raising money for the Toy Industry Foundation (TIF), which delivers toys and games to children in need worldwide.

“We are thrilled that PlayCon attendees will be supporting the Toy Industry Foundation as they chart the course for the future of play,” said Jean Butler, TIF executive director. “Casino Night’s contributions will provide direct funding for the Foundation’s national year-round programs, including special toy distribution events for children whose parents are deployed in the military, and for those battling temporary home placements in the foster care system.”

Once the dinner and gaming tables close, the EDITION’s nightclub, The Basement will be open for drinks and dessert.

Networking Reception – May 3rd

After the second full day of the conference, attendees will be able to kick off their shoes and enjoy the soft ground of the EDITION’s Sand Pit for the networking reception. The evening’s festive atmosphere will feature an open bar, heavy hors d’oeuvres, and an outdoor movie for those who want to stay at the hotel once the reception concludes. Visitors hoping to explore Miami Beach for dinner or its nightlife can visit the EDITION’s concierge.

“The two nights of after hours events provide a chance to unwind as the knowledge everyone gains from the days’ sessions sinks in,” said Marian Bossard, SVP of global market events at TIA. “Our attendees are some of the industry’s most creative personalities, many of whom are longtime colleagues, and these relaxed settings are the perfect venue for an exchange of ideas and laughter among old friends and new.”

PlayCon will be held from May 2-4 in Miami, Florida. Casino Night and the Tuesday Night reception are included with every full conference registration. For spouses or other industry professionals who cannot attend the whole conference, separate tickets may be purchased for each of the night events. The cost is $300 for the Casino Night (May 2nd) and $150 for the reception (May 3rd).
