TIA Welcomes 33 New Members in Q1
April 17, 2017 | The Toy Industry Association (TIA) proudly welcomes 33 new members that joined the Association since January 1. These companies join more than 950 TIA members that collectively account for an estimated 90% of U.S. domestic toy sales:
“Toy companies are seeing the value in a TIA membership,” says Ken Ebeling, TIA’s vice president of strategic development and member services. “Whether its access to our proprietary research and educational webinars, alerts on new or updated federal and state regulations and safety measures, and of course the benefits of coming to Toy Fair and other events throughout the year, including member discounts, TIA is committed to providing members with the tools they need to succeed.”
Companies applying for regular membership are required to declare compliance with the principles of the International Council of Toy Industries (ICTI) CARE Process for ethical manufacturing or meet the requirements of i) another recognized social compliance organization or ii) another code of an equivalent or greater standard. They must also agree to follow the TIA Member Code of Conduct.
TIA’s vast membership includes manufacturers, retailers, distributors, licensors, inventors, and other businesses that bring the joy of play to children. Members enjoy a wide range of benefits including programs, events, services, and tools that bring them greater prosperity in the U.S. and overseas.
