ORB Unveils ORBMolecules – the World’s First Creation Compound – to Encourage Imaginative Play ORB recently launched its most innovative compound to date, ORBMolecules, the world’s first and only creation compound that consists of thousands of spheres held together by a binder that adheres to itself and nothing else. Each kit includes multiple-sized and colored ORBMolecules that, once bonded together, will hold their shape indefinitely while never drying out. The compound encourages children to use their imaginations to build amazing 3D creations.

Basic Fun! Launches Poopeez YouTube Channel
Basic Fun! has launched a new web series, Poopeez, that invites viewers to follow the adventures of six hero characters as they navigate the world of Kerplopolis while exchanging potty puns and jokes that absolutely stink! The web series will be accompanied by a global toy launch in early 2018 – where toys will be sold in blind capsules resembling rolls of toilet paper. The Poopeez brand will be available for global lifestyle and consumer licensing following the launch of the toy line.

Jakks Pacific Extends Partnership with Stanley Black & Decker on Construction Tool Line
Jakks Pacific has extended and expanded its licensing agreement with Stanley Black & Decker, Inc., for the popular Black & Decker and Stanley brands. Jakks will continue its long-standing partnership to exclusively manufacture, market, and distribute to all retail channels Black & Decker branded kids role-play tool toys. In addition, a new line will be introduced of Stanley-branded kids’ products such as toy hand and power tools and toy workbenches at Walmart this holiday season. 

The Jim Henson Company to Develop Kids Series Based on IAmElemental’s Female Action Figures
The Jim Henson Company plans to develop a new animated children’s television series based on the popular female action figures created by IamElemental, targeting children ages six to 12. This will be the entertainment company’s “first foray into the superhero genre with a cast of powerful young women at its core.” IAmElemental created the first-ever female action figures designed specifically for children through its Series 1/Courage figures and Series 2/Wisdom figures.

EverBlock Systems Creates Eco-Friendly Cardboard Building Block Line for Kids, Promotes STEM/STEAM Learning
Everblock Systems has launched a new line of foldable cardboard building blocks called EverBlock Jr., ideal for STEM and STEAM learning programs for children. Made from recycled, premium corrugated cardboard and available in multiple sizes, shapes, and colors, the building blocks foster creativity in kids by folding flat, pre-cut, cardboard patterns to create three-dimensional building blocks. The blocks were designed to be decorated and drawn on, providing endless designs and personalization.

Mattel Launches Star Wars Bloxels for Aspiring Young Jedi and Video Game Developers-In-Training
Mattel and Pixel Press, in collaboration with Lucasfilm, announced the introduction of Star Wars Bloxels, letting curious-minded and creative young Jedi create their own video games with their favorite characters and stories. Bloxels provides kids with a highly-accessible video game creation platform where they get to act as the game designer, artist, storyteller, publisher, and player, giving them a fun introduction to the world of video game development. The new line of Bloxels makes technology and programming fun and accessible.

Playmates Toys Introduces Mysticons Action Figure Collection for Girls
Playmates Toys has launched a Mysticons toy line, based on the new animated action series airing on Nickelodeon. The expansive toy line features Playmates Toys’ first action figures designed specifically for girls, including the four warrior girls – Arkayna, Zarya, Em, and Piper – as well as other characters and villains from the animated series. An assortment of flying creatures, plush, and role play items including each heroes' signature weapon, avatar creature bracer, and mask are also part of the line.
