A Free Opportunity to Promote Your Toys in Front of Millions this Holiday Season

August 27, 2019 | Gain exposure for your toys and games as we head into the holiday season through Genius Play Pix, an initiative by The Genius of Play.

Toy Association members that participate in Genius Play Pix will be able to showcase their products on The Genius of Play’s social media channels (FacebookInstagram, and Twitter) – and reach more than 2 million people each month.

Submit lifestyle images of kids using your toys by September 30. The Genius of Play is specifically seeking toys that help kids build critical skills (i.e.: physical, cognitive, social, creative, etc.)

Selected pictures will be posted on The Genius of Play’s social media channels from October through the end of December. Posts will mention the product name, include hashtags provided by the company, and highlight how the toy reinforces the developmental benefits of play.

Last year’s inaugural Genius Play Pix campaign featured 200+ photos from more than 50 Toy Association members, including Basic Fun!, Crayola, Faber Castell, K’NEX, LEGO Systems LLC, PlayMonster, Relevant Play, Rubie’s Costume Company, Scentco, Spin Master, Steiff, ThinkFun, VTech, Wonder Crew, and WowWee. The posts reached more than 1.5 million people and received over 150,000 engagements in November and December 2018.

“We invite our members to take part in this initiative and leverage The Genius of Play’s highly engaged social media audience of millions to promote their toys and educate families on how toys and play can reinforce critical developmental skills,” said Ken Seiter, executive vice president of marketing communications at The Toy Association.

Companies are encouraged to read the participation guidelines on the submission form or contact Akshata Hase, assistant marketing manager for The Toy Association, with questions.

The Genius of Play is a national movement spearheaded by The Toy Association to raise awareness about play’s critical role in child development and encourage more play in children’s lives.
