webinar-graphicMay 18, 2020 | Toy professionals are encouraged to register for The Toy Association’s May 28 webinar, in which members of The Toy Association’s Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) Committee will address how the COVID-19 pandemic could affect businesses’ commitment to fair hiring practices.

The one-hour “Workforce/Hiring and Unconscious Bias: Navigating Best Practices After COVID-19” webinar, beginning at 3:30 p.m. (Eastern), will cover foundational D&I information and examine how the spread of misinformation during the pandemic can result in increased biases in hiring practices. It will also offer companies ideas on how to help maintain their commitment to diverse and inclusive work environments.

D&I Committee members Bryony Bouyer, senior vice president of diversity and inclusion & multi-cultural strategy at Hasbro, and Gerald A. Fernandez, president and founder of the Multicultural Foodservice & Hospitality Alliance, will present. It will be moderated by Mitch Brown, a senior consultant and master facilitator at the Kaleidoscope Group, a full-service D&I consulting firm. Adrienne Appell, senior director of strategic communications at The Toy Association, will offer opening remarks.

All toy professionals, particularly those involved in human resources and talent management, are invited to attend. For questions, please contact The Toy Association’s Anne McConnell.
