***NOTE: This webinar will now be held April 21.***

March 12, 2020 | Mark your calendars for The Toy Association’s upcoming webinar, “CPSC’s Revised Age Determination Guidelines: What’s New?

This one-hour session, currently planned for April 16 at 2 p.m. (Eastern), will highlight key changes to CPSC Age Determination Guidelines toymakers need to be aware of and how these guidelines may impact their products. This includes age-grading recommendations for new product categories that did not exist at the time of the previous version of the resource in 2002 and changes to some existing product categories.

“The latest updates reflect not only the innovation of play over the years but also the value in continuing to modernize and prioritize product safety for children,” said Joan Lawrence, senior vice president of standards & regulatory affairs at The Toy Association. “The CPSC Guidelines have long provided a valuable reference on child development milestones and play. We encourage playmakers to tune in and ensure their products are still in step with these standards.”

The webinar is open to all toy industry stakeholders. It is specifically recommended for safety and quality control professionals, compliance officers, and toy designers. Registration is free to members and $49 for non-members.

The Toy Association’s Alan Kaufman, senior vice president of technical affairs, and Joan Lawrence, senior vice president of standards & regulatory affairs will moderate. Webinar speakers will be announced at a later date.
