Nominations are Open for 2021 WIT Wonder Women Awards

January 4, 2021 | Nominations are now open for the Women in Toys, Licensing & Entertainment (WIT) 17th Annual Wonder Women Awards, which honor top female executives, thought leaders, entrepreneurs and other changemakers for their extraordinary accomplishments and impact within the toy, licensing, and entertainment industries. Coinciding with WIT’s 30th anniversary, this year’s awards are expected to be held for the first time in Los Angeles in late September 2021.
From now through April 30, industry professionals may nominate a colleague, friend, themselves, or any woman who has made an impact in toys, licensing, or entertainment in the following categories:
- Designer / Inventor
- Licensor / Entertainment
- Licensee / Manufacturer
- Marketing / PR
- Rising Star
- Social Good
- COVID-19 Hero
- Deal Maker
- Storyteller
- Unsung Hero
- Wonder Girl
Finalists will be determined by voting conducted by the WIT Board of Directors, Advisory Board, and Chapter Chairs, and will be based on the nominee’s achievements and accomplishments in the following areas:
- Positively impacted her company, peers, or industry
- Contributed to the growth or improvement of her company or the toy, licensing, or entertainment industries
- Served as a role model for other individuals or companies in the industry
Award winners will be announced and celebrated at WIT’s Wonder Women Awards in September in Los Angeles. Proceeds from this event are used to fund WIT scholarships and to support the development of all WIT programming, initiatives, and events.
2021 WIT sponsors include Amazon, Hasbro, Mattel, ViacomCBS, The Bandai Foundation, The Toy Association, Jazwares, Warner Bros., LEGO, PlayMonster, Spin Master, TOMY, VTech/LeapFrog, and others who support the organization’s year-round programming and help contribute to the success of the Wonder Women Awards.
