Toy Association Trends Team Highlights Toys for Backyard Fun
June 23, 2022 | With school wrapping up around the country and summer officially underway, The Toy Association has been at work promoting its members’ outdoor playthings to national audiences.
Last week, The Toy Association joined KTLA live in Los Angeles for a segment featuring toys and games to inspire backyard fun for the whole family. The segment featured everything from a jumbo-sized Squishmallows yard sprinkler from Big Mouth Inc. and a fairy bubble backpack from IMC Toys to an ICEE shaved ice machine from ISCREAM, Operation Splash from WowWee, and a Wicked Big Sports Basket Heads game from Little Kids. The segment was the latest in a series of recent summer TV segments featuring member products in top markets, including Chicago and Sacramento.
“With Fourth of July right around the corner and families gathering for backyard barbecues and pool parties, there are tons of great toy and game options from our members that encourage families to get outdoors and play together this summer,” said Adrienne Appell, executive vice president of marketing communications at The Toy Association. “With more TV and editorial opportunities in the works, we encourage companies to keep sharing their latest toys with our trends team.”
