Association Forum has recognized Jacqueline Retzer, senior director of event management for global experiences at The Toy Association™, as one of its 2025 Forty Under 40. The honor recognizes association and non-profit professionals for their accomplishments, commitment to an industry, leadership skills, and continued potential.
In addition to managing operations and marketing Toy Association events, such as Toy Fair® and LA Fall Preview®, Retzer executes several Association programs for the inventor/design community, students, and the industry at large, including Toy Fair University, Student Congress, Creative Factor, the Toy Fair Reimagination Awards, and more. Prior to her current position as senior director of event management, she served as manager of event marketing and audience relations.
“Watching Jackie grow into the exceptional leader she is today has been one of the great joys of working with her,” said Kimberly Carcone, executive vice president of global experiences at The Toy Association. “Her creativity, strategic mindset, and relentless attention to detail are extremely important in the way we plan and execute our events. Whether she’s leading the charge on Toy Fair, supporting our inventor community, or mentoring colleagues, Jackie consistently raises the bar and brings out the best in everyone around her. She’s truly one of the best in the business, and we’re so proud to see her hard work, leadership, and passion recognized with this well-deserved honor.”
In August 2024, Retzer was named as one of Trade Show Executive’s “Women to Watch” for her outstanding contributions to the exhibition industry. Retzer also currently serves as chair of the New York area chapter of the International Association of Exhibitions and Events (NYIAEE), for which she facilitates local events, education, and networking opportunities for exhibition and events professionals in the tri-state area. She earned a scholarship in 2020 through NYIAEE for her studies toward a Certification in Exhibition Management (CEM).
Association Forum’s Forty Under 40 program honors rising leaders under the age of 40 who are making significant contributions to the association and nonprofit community. The award recognizes individuals who demonstrate exceptional leadership, innovation, and impact within their organizations and the broader industry.
