The Ethical Supply Chain Program (ESCP) has released its 2025 Worker Well-Being Impact Report, which shows measurable progress for improving the lives of factory workers and their families across global supply chains. The report shows ESCP has surpassed its three-year target of expanding the reach of its family-friendly initiatives, which benefited 34,212 children by the end of 2025. “Protecting the rights and dignity of workers is not only the right thing to do but also good for business,” said Carmel Giblin, CEO & president of ESCP. “This year’s report shows that when worker well-being is prioritized, we see measurable results for workers and their families, for factory performance, and for supply chain resilience.”
Last year alone, ESCP supported 12,075 workers and 13,509 children across 95 factories in China and Vietnam through improved access to childcare and more equitable workplace policies. Key highlights from the 2025 report include:
- Gender Equality Program growth: More than 5,000 workers were trained, contributing to a 36% improvement in gender equality scores across participating factories
- Increased awareness: Recognition of workplace violence rose from 9% to 71% among employees following gender equality training
- Worker Helpline expansion: Confidential support was provided to approximately 298,000 factory and construction workers worldwide, with reported declines in unresolved labor disputes
- Family-Friendly Spaces milestone: 2025 marked the 10-year anniversary of IETP’s Family-Friendly Spaces initiative, which has supported more than 41,000 workers across 167 factories to date
