Colored Flowers

(for ages 2+, requires adult help)

Ingredients:

  • White flowers (carnations or Queen Anne’s lace work well)
  • Food coloring
  • Water
  • A plastic container

Prep Time:

  • 5 minutes (plus waiting time)

Recipe for Fun!

Fill a plastic container with water and add a few drops of food coloring. Next, cut a small piece of the stem from the flower. Put the flower (stem side down) into the plastic bowl. Check in a few hours and you’ll start to see the petals changing color. By the next day, the leaves and petals should have turned the color of the water!
