TIA Members are Eligible for Discounted Registration

August 18, 2016 | Toy and entertainment industry professionals with an interest in capturing and keeping clients engaged in the digital age are invited to attend the Digital Kids Summit, taking place September 13-14, 2016 in San Francisco, CA. The Toy Industry Association’s (TIA) Genius of Play initiative, which highlights the crucial developmental benefits of play, will be featured as an event sponsor.

This year’s summit, “Business Hacks for Serious Engagement with Digital Kids,” will bring together developers, producers, toymakers, content creators and other industry professionals to explore how to build affinity with the connected family while propelling businesses forward through the development of groundbreaking products and engagement strategies that span digital, physical products, entertainment and education.

More than 40 speakers will present over two full days, providing participants with information on a range of topics related to kids, technology and play, including marketing to moms and their digital families, cultural priorities around the globe, re-inventing toys and legacy brands for the next generation, do’s and don’ts of monetization and the kids’ apps economy, the next frontier of meeting kids’ tech needs, and more.

TIA’s Jackie Retzer, assistant manager of marketing communications, will participate in a panel discussion about the “tremendous possibility” of creative play, speaking alongside CEOs from Kindoma, Junkbot and Roblox.

“Digital Kids Summit provides innovations and insights for growing your business and tapping into the connected family, in a time when kids expect toys to have an interactive experience and mobile technologies provide this for all toymakers and brands,” noted Tonda Bunge Sellers, producer of the Summit.

As an event sponsor, The Genius of Play will be hosting a sweepstakes for summit attendees, who can enter the drawing to become a Genius of Play expert featured on the www.TheGeniusofPlay.org and social media, and for a chance to win $250 in toys.

TIA members who would like to attend the Digital Kids Summit are eligible for a 10% discount; use the code TFVIP when registering online. For more information, visit www.DigitalKidsSummit.com.
