NPD’s Frédérique Tutt to Share Data Insight as Session Presenter at PlayCon

March 8, 2018 | During a special session at PlayCon, taking place May 8 to 9 in San Francisco, CA, Frédérique Tutt, The NPD Group’s global toys industry analyst, will dig into recent toy and youth product sales figures to provide attendees with a deep-dive analysis of trends in the U.S. marketplace.

“NPD’s data is crucial for toy companies who want to understand current trends and future opportunities for their businesses,” said Marian Bossard, The Toy Association’s executive vice president of global market events. “As we continue to add to our formidable speaker roster, the new PlayCon is a not-to-miss event for toy and play professionals.”

PlayCon’s speaker roster includes nearly 20 thought-leaders, industry analysts, toy influencers, consumer product executives, and other motivational speakers who will lead short “TED Talk”-like sessions during the conference’s new format. Confirmed speakers include: Facebook’s Eva Press; Google’s Victoria Fang; alternative reality game designer Jane McGonigal; Dale Dougherty, “father” of the Maker Movement; Activision Blizzard’s Tim Kilpin; Trend Hunter’s Armida Ascano and Courtney Scharf; Ted Curtin of ProdigyWorks; and many more.

Tutt has 18 years of experience in the global toy industry and uses that knowledge to service key accounts at NPD by providing strategic insights and fact-based recommendations to help clients drive business growth. She began her career in Paris in 1992 at global market research firm AC Nielsen. In 1995, she joined NPD to kick start the launch of its EuroToys service. Tutt later moved to the United Kingdom, where she managed NPD EuroToys for nearly 10 years and helped launch new services for NPD, such as licensing and nursery. She currently resides in France.
