Nine Products Earn ‘STEAM Stamp of Approval’

October 5, 2021 | As more STEAM toy evaluations get underway, The Toy Association and the Good Play Guide™ have announced the first round of playthings to receive an official “STEAM Stamp of Approval.”

After undergoing rigorous rounds of playtesting and evaluation through The Toy Association’s STEAM Accreditation program, nine products have been officially certified as true STEAM toys. Products include ARCkit’s GO Eco and Coastal Living kits and Insect Lore’s Butterfly Garden®, Giant Butterfly® Garden, Butterfly Garden® Homeschool Edition, Butterfly Farm®, Butterfly Pavilion®, Ant Mountain™, and Life Cycle Figurines 24 Piece Set.

“These toys are outstanding examples of high-quality educational toys on the market that children and parents can turn to for both fun and learning,” said Anna Yudina, senior director of marketing initiatives at The Toy Association. “If you are a toymaker with a STEAM toy or game, we invite you to get your product approved to stand out on shelves as a go-to resource for parents looking to inspire exploration and learning of science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics through play for their children.”

Toy companies and brands involved in the manufacture, design, and marketing of children’s STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) products are invited to have them officially evaluated as part of The Toy Association’s STEAM Accreditation program, developed in collaboration with the Good Play Guide™. Toy Association membership is not required.
