Holidays Come Early for Hundreds of Chicago-Area Kids in Need

The holiday season came early for hundreds of Chicago-area children living in foster care, who received brand-new toys and games today at a fun-filled event hosted by The Toy Foundation (TTF), the philanthropic arm of the North American toy industry, in partnership with the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS). “Play Your Part Chicago” brought together local toy industry volunteers to create memorable experiences with kids in need at Guaranteed Rate Field, home to the Chicago White Sox.

Ready … Set … PLAY! Local Toy Companies & Volunteers Bring Toys and Smiles to South Florida Kids

“Play Your Part,” a nationwide philanthropic event series hosted by The Toy Foundation (TTF), made its way to South Florida today, bringing brand-new toys and games to more than 250 children in need. Held in partnership with Junior Achievement South Florida at its Coconut Creek headquarters, the fun-filled day of play was made possible by local toy company volunteers and thousands of toy donations from manufacturers, retailers, and distributors to TTF’s Toy Bank.

 
The Genius of Play Launches “Prescription for Play“ PSA

The Genius of Play, a nonprofit initiative dedicated to raising awareness of play's vital role in child development, today launched its new public service announcement (PSA) titled “Prescription for Play.” The campaign is aimed at reminding parents that play is critical to raising healthy and happy children. The PSA will serve as a supporting element to The Genius of Play’s first-ever month-long celebration of play, “Play All May,” taking place May 1 to 31.

 
Toy Fair New York Brings Global Toy & Play Community Together for Four Days of Fun!

The global toy and play community came together in New York City for The Toy Association’s 116th North American International Toy Fair. In all, more than 26,000 professionals from 98 countries attended the largest toy trade show in the Western Hemisphere, where they got a sneak peek at hundreds of thousands of ground-breaking and creative toys and games spread out across 447,300 net square feet of exhibit space. The show hosted the equivalent of nearly eight football fields filled with toys during its four-day run from February 16, to Tuesday, February 19, at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.

 
The Toy Association Elects New Board Members at Annual General Meeting

The Toy Association announced the election of four new members to its Board of Directors for two-year terms expiring in February 2021, during the Association’s Annual General Meeting, earlier today. The meeting was open to all members of the organization and took place during Toy Fair New York at the Jacob K. Javits Center in New York City.
