PlayCon Speaker Spotlight: Jennifer Rogers Doyle, Sr. VP of Brand Development at Disney Channels Worldwide

April 24, 2018 | Interested in hearing tips for developing successful franchises – and identifying compelling consumer product opportunities that enhance kids’ connections to stories and characters? Then be sure to attend The Toy Association’s PlayCon, taking place May 8 to 9 in San Francisco, where Jennifer Rogers Doyle of Disney Channels Worldwide will share her insights as an executive who has helped generate billions of dollars in retail sales based on Disney properties.

Rogers Doyle is the latest addition to PlayCon’s line-up of more than two dozen speakers from the likes of Facebook, Google, Nickelodeon, The NPD Group, Trend Hunter, and more, who will deliver short, “TED talk” style presentations designed to inspire, motivate, and help play professionals navigate the ever-changing toy and youth entertainment industry.

As senior vice president of brand development and integrated planning, Rogers Doyle develops cross-platform marketing strategies for Disney Junior, Disney Channel, and Disney XD series’, movies, and programming.

Over the course of her career, she has pushed the boundaries of traditional licensing, creating the brand strategies behind tween franchises “Hannah Montana” and “High School Musical,” and propelled an umbrella branding strategy that made Disney Junior the centerpiece of Disney’s worldwide efforts to serve kids ages two to seven and their families. Her plan helped extend viewers’ experiences with their favorite characters and stories, including “Sofia the First,” “Doc McStuffins,” “Vampirina,” and “Mickey and the Roadster Racers.”  She also directed Disney Channel’s franchise management for hit properties geared towards kids ages 6 to 14, including “Descendants,” “DuckTales,” and “Phineas and Ferb.”
