The population of kids 0-14 are projected at 61.4 million in 2020, representing 18.5% of the U.S population.

By 2060 kids 0-14 are projected at 66.7 million, representing 16.5% of the population.

  • The U.S. population is projected to grow by nearly 79 million in the next 4 decades. From about 326 million to 404 million between 2017 and 2060.
  • The rate of population growth is slowing.
  • Beyond 2030 the U.S. population is projected to grow slowly, age considerably and become more racially and ethnically diverse.
  • Despite slowing growth, the population is still projected to grow compared to other developed countries whose populations are expected to minimally increase or contract of the next few decades.
