Influencers Amplify The Genius of Play’s ‘Play Today’ Campaign

April 21, 2020 | In support of its new “Play Today” campaign, The Genius of Play has partnered with leading influencers to serve as campaign ambassadors and encourage families to play and learn together at home during the COVID-19 pandemic.

More than 150 influencers are helping share Play Today’s resources with more than 2 million followers on social platforms like Instagram and TikTok, using the hashtag #PlayToday. Certain influencers are also helping bring play ideas to life through original video content launching weekly in the Play Today digital hub and on The Genius of Play’s social channels.

Promotional efforts of Play Today, the “Worldwide Headquarters of Play” PSA, and The Genius of Play’s new learning-at-home resources have already generated more than 20 million impressions.

“Through these new influencer partnerships, we are able to connect with parents and generate new relatable, original content to inspire families and spark kids’ development of play during these difficult times,” said Anna Yudina, senior director of marketing initiatives at The Toy Association.”

Play Today aims to educate parents about the benefits of play and provides indoor activities to get kids up and moving, virtual play ideas, and a mega-list of at-home learning resources to help all families play and learn together at home.
