The Toy Foundation Releases 2019 Annual Report
October 8, 2020 | The Toy Foundation’s 2019 Annual Report, “Play is Where the Heart Is,” is now available online. The report highlights the generosity of the toy community and the impact the Foundation has made on more than 26 million deserving children and families in underserved communities around the world.
"As the Foundation continues to seek out new solutions to assist our partners supplying essentials to disadvantaged families and frontline workers hit hardest by the pandemic and beyond, this report underscores the central, unifying goal of the Foundation: the healing powers of play, no matter the circumstances," said Ellen Lambert, executive director at The Toy Association. "The report spotlights the success of our past partnerships with retailers like CAMP Stores and Target to generate charitable giving throughout the holiday season; the hard work of volunteers at our Play Your Part events, which bring the magic of play straight to vulnerable communities; as well as our research with the Nemours Children’s Health System to examine the incorporation of play into trauma-related care."
Toy professionals looking to learn how they can get more involved in setting the strategic direction of the Foundation and take part in future philanthropic efforts are encouraged to contact Elizabeth Max, senior manager.
