The Toy Association's Rebecca Mond, The Toy Foundation's Elizabeth Max Nominated for WIT Wonder Women Awards

January 10, 2020 | Rebecca Mond and Elizabeth Max of The Toy Association and The Toy Foundation have been nominated for this year’s Women in Toys, Licensing, and Entertainment (WIT) Wonder Women Awards.

The annual awards program celebrates industry leaders for their outstanding contributions in toys, licensing, and entertainment in six categories.

Mond, The Toy Association’s vice president of federal government affairs, has been nominated in two categories: rising star and social responsibility, and Max, senior foundation manager of The Toy Foundation, is also a nominee in the social responsibility category. Max and Mond are among nearly 100 nominees for this year’s Wonder Women Awards.

"From Rebecca’s round-the-clock efforts on Capitol Hill pushing to fight unsafe, fake toys from getting in the hands of children to Elizabeth’s dedication to her work with the Foundation, providing toys to millions of children in need, the entire toy and play community is lucky to have these women tirelessly working on their behalf!"

Voting is open to all WIT members from Wednesday, January 15 through Monday, January 27. Winners will be recognized during the 16th Annual Wonder Women Awards Gala taking place on Sunday, February 23 at Chelsea Piers in New York City. Award categories include: Creator/Designer/Inventor, Licensing/Entertainment, Licensee/Manufacturer, Marketing/PR, Rising Star, and Social Responsibility. The awards will also celebrate two honorees. Pam Lifford, president of Warner Bros. Global Brands and Experiences, will receive the Mentor of the Year Award and Stephanie McMahon, WWE chief brand officer, will receive the Changemaker Award.
