Build-A-Bear & Warner Bros. Partner for Friends Collection

In partnership with Warner Bros. Consumer Products, Build-A-Bear has launched a new product line inspired by the Friends television series. The line includes everything from a classic bear featuring the official Friends logo to holiday-inspired costumes and clothing and accessories celebrating the show’s iconic places and characters.

Fat Brain Toys Moves Warehouses

Fat Brain Toys consolidated two warehouses into a new, larger facility over the course of a three-day period in late October to support ongoing growth and increasing Q4 volumes for the holiday season. Utilizing staff from its warehouse, office, and retail stores (in addition to dozens of returning seasonal employees), the company relocated nearly one million toys, games, and equipment over a 72-hour period.

Jada Toys, Kindness.org Partner for World Kindness Day

Jada Toys’ B-Kind dolls and Kindness.org, a research-led nonprofit dedicated to educating and inspiring people to choose kindness, entered a partnership focused on spreading and encouraging kindness. The partnership kicked off with an Instagram Live panel on the importance of kindness on November 11 as a lead up to World Kindness Day on November 13.

Schleich has appointed its very first Chief Storytelling Officer, following a live casting call at FAO Schwarz in New York City and a call to kids across the U.S. to send in videos sharing their best stories. 

The Strong Museum of Play Announces New National Toy Hall of Fame Inductees

The Strong National Museum of Play unveiled the latest inductees into the National Toy Hall of Fame. Narrowed down from a field of 12 finalists that included Battleship, billiards, Cabbage Patch Kids, Fisher-Price Corn Popper, Mahjong, Masters of the Universe, piñata, the Settlers of Catan, and toy fire engine, this year’s honorees are American Girl dolls, Risk, and sand.

Toys“R”Us Reveals NFT Collection

WHP Global, the parent company of Toys“R”Us (TRU), has partnered with NFT platform Ethernity to bring the toy brand to the blockchain with the release of its first non-fungible token ("NFT") collection. Exclusive 3-D animation of Geoffrey the Giraffe went to auction live on November 13 as part of its first NFT collection with Ethernity.
