Port Updates: Looking Ahead to the 2021 Holiday Shipping Season (New Webinar)

April 20, 2021 | The Toy Association has announced that it will host a free, members-only webinar on Wednesday, May 12 to provide toy companies with an update on the port situation in Los Angeles and a forecast of what members should expect for the 2021 holiday shipping season.

Taking place from 2 to 3 p.m. (Eastern), “Port Updates: Looking Ahead to the 2021 Holiday Shipping Season” will be presented by Gene Seroka, executive director of the Port of Los Angeles, who will provide members with crucial information about the upcoming shipping season and answer questions from industry stakeholders.

“In recent years, the toy industry has experienced harmful delays in getting shipping containers off ships and to retailers or distribution centers in time for the holiday season,” said Ed Desmond, executive vice president of external affairs at The Toy Association and webinar moderator. “This year, we are providing our members with as much information as possible early in the year so that they can make plans for a successful Q4.”

Registration for the webinar is now open to all Toy Association members, though the session is specifically recommended for those who work in the logistics, transportation, and/or supply chain areas of their companies.
