#ToyFairLife: Celebrate Toy Fair & The Industry

toy-fair-memoriesFebruary 9, 2021 | Like many events since the onset of COVID-19, Toy Fair New York, which would have kicked off this Saturday, will be absent from the 2021 calendar. But like many who have had to pivot during the pandemic, The Toy Association and the toy community have continued to find new and creative ways to adapt and stay connected.

That’s why The Toy Association is inviting the global toy community to come together during what would have been Toy Fair New York – February 13 through 16 – and help us throwback to the best Toy Fair memories of the past.

Using the hashtag #ToyFairLife, toy professionals are invited to share their top Toy Fair moments. Whether it was a specific product, trend spotting on the show floor, a panel discussion, or even an annual dinner date with industry friends, all are encouraged to utilize platforms such as LinkedIn to contribute their highlights.

“We all share in a mutual passion for play, and this campaign celebrates that by providing us all with the opportunity to come together from a safe distance while looking ahead to the excitement of being back together in person, first at Toy Fair Dallas and then at Toy Fair New York 2022!” said Marian Bossard, executive vice president of global market events. “It’s likely that some of your Toy Fair memories are popping up as flashbacks in your own social media accounts, so why not share in the nostalgia with others?”

Members of the toy community can share content at any time during the typical Toy Fair window or may choose to align their posts with big events such as the show opening, a favorite after-hours event, or even this year’s virtual Toy of the Year (TOTY) awards on Friday, February 12. How and what you choose to share is also open-ended.

To join in the fun, follow along on LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter and Facebook using the hashtag #ToyFairLife.
