New Toy Association White Paper Analyzes the Future of Toy Sourcing

October 14, 2022 | Toy manufacturers may want to consider diversifying their supply chains and moving to alternate toy manufacturing hubs, according to a new white paper prepared by Toy Team Asia Managing Director Steve Reece in collaboration with The Toy Association. The report, “Toy Sourcing: The Next 10 Years, Changes, Challenges & Opportunity!” is now available for free.

"China's role in the world and, more specifically, in the area of toy manufacturing has changed and is set to continue to evolve,” Reece said. “Going forward, toy sourcing will be more complex and require more management effort. This white paper looks at the how the next ten years might pan out, what alternative toy production hubs are available, and how toy companies can manage the ongoing change."

Members of the toy industry can also use this report to discover additional areas to source their products, including Vietnam, India, Indonesia, Thailand, and other Asian countries, as well as nearshoring efforts in Mexico.
