The Toy Foundation Invites Dallas Exhibitors to Donate to The Toy Bank

Donations collected at the end of the show will benefit deserving children in the Dallas area

August 11, 2022 | The Toy Foundation (TTF) invites companies exhibiting at The Toy Association’s 2023 Preview & 2022 Holiday Market to donate their toys and games to The Toy Bank™ at the show’s close on September 22. The Toy Bank is a signature program where TTF collects donations to deliver the comfort, joy, and the extraordinary physical, emotional, and educational benefits of play to children.

The product donation form is now available for Preview & Holiday Market exhibitors and can be submitted in advance of the trade show.

All donations will help deliver the power of play to deserving children in need within the Dallas area. To help distribute the product collected, TTF is working with four local organizations:

  • Baylor Scott & White McLane Children’s Medical Center, which meets the medical needs of children in Central Texas, incorporating play activities, a colorful and friendly atmosphere, and more to create a nurturing place to heal and thrive.
  • Dallas Metro, which meets the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of thousands of children in Dallas’ inner-city neighborhoods through after-school programs and in-home visitation for a lasting positive impact.
  • Rainbow Days, aiming to help children and youth in adversity build coping skills and resilience through support groups, camps, mentored activities, and tangible items to create positive futures.
  • The Birthday Party Project, helping celebrate the lives of children experiencing homelessness through the magic of a birthday celebration to instill a lifelong impact that builds confidence and lasting joy.

"Rainbow Days is so excited to partner with The Toy Foundation once again,” said Kelly Wierzbinski, director of Rainbow Days’ Family Connection program. “The toys received are a big part of our ‘Saturday with Santa’ event where homeless children and families receive holiday gifts. Last year, one little boy looked up at Santa and told him, ‘I knew you wouldn't forget me.’ The Toy Foundation and its partners help keep this magic alive in a very special way!"

To help TTF help bring smiles and the benefits of play to local Dallas children in need, submit a completed product donation form and set aside the product to be donated before leaving the exhibit space. Following the close of the show, volunteers will visit every booth to pick up and box the donated items.

“Exhibitors can avoid the hassle and expense of shipping product back to the office with a simple and easy donation to The Toy Bank,” said Pamela Mastrota, executive director of The Toy Foundation. “All you need to do is fill out a donation form and set aside the donated items in your booth, our team will take care of the rest.”

TTF believes in a world where every child has the opportunity to experience comfort, joy, and the extraordinary physical, emotional, and educational benefits of play. Since 2003, TTF has partnered with the toy industry to collect more than $225 million in toys for over 26 million children in need.
