President Announces Tariff Rates on Imports from Canada, Mexico, & EU Effective Aug. 1

July 14, 2025 | The Toy Association™ is alerting members that over the weekend, President Trump sent letters to the leaders of Canada, Mexico, and the European Union (EU) announcing new reciprocal tariff rates that will take effect on August 1.

The letters, posted on the president’s Truth Social account, outline the following tariff rates:

• Canada — 35%
• Mexico — 30%
• European Union — 30%
